CrossCode on chrome os!

by AlexClarke » Sun Dec 25, 2016 10:12 pm

You can (unofficially) put CrossCode on chrome os by
  • unziping the CrossCode exe from a windows computer (use something like winrar or 7zip or linux's unzip command if your on linux like me :) )
  • putting it on a chromebook, using Web Server for Chrome os
  • setting the folder to the unzipped CrossCode exe
  • going into node-webkit.html and changing
    Code: Select all
    window['process'].once('uncaughtException', function() {
            var win = require('nw.gui').Window.get();
            if(!(win.isDevToolsOpen && win.isDevToolsOpen())) {
                win.showDevTools && win.showDevTools();
            }
        });

    to
    Code: Select all
    try{
        window['process'].once('uncaughtException', function() {
            var win = require('nw.gui').Window.get();
            if(!(win.isDevToolsOpen && win.isDevToolsOpen())) {
                win.showDevTools && win.showDevTools();
            }
        });} catch (e) {}
  • turning on the server
  • going to localhost:8887/node-webkit.html

I can confirm that this "hack" also works on android. The chrime browser is able to load and run the game when you use a local server app to provide it as a website.

The gamepad does not work at the moment. The rest just runs fine on a atom x5 z8550 tablet. :)
